Making the impossible
possible
It is December when a fisherman discovers a baby dolphin entangled in a rope,
struggling to survive. With great effort, he manages to rescue her and takes
her to a local aquarium in Florida. The dolphin, christened Winter, is nursed
back to health by trainer Abby. While some of the wounds inflicted on her by
the rope cannot be healed and her tail fin is irrevocably lost, Winter does not
give up and learns how to swim without her tail. When her new swimming style
starts to threaten her spinal cord, it becomes obvious that she has but one
chance of survival: a prosthesis. It takes months of work, but Winter eventually
accepts it – and it does not just change her life, but she becomes an inspiration
for hundreds of children, veterans and disabled people.
Absolutely unique: a dolphin with a prosthesis
• The fierce Winter becomes an inspiration for
hundreds of people
• An emotional story about courage, hope and miracles –
goosebumps guaranteed!
