Prussia and China
The start of diplomatic relations between Germany and China was marked by Prussian interests. Prussia was determined to expand its trade connections to the Far East to import Chinese goods for the domestic market. This aspect of Prussian and German-Chinese history has been largely ignored. The book gives a nuanced image of Prussia, its foreign-policy and foreign economic motivations. The divergent economic, cultural and political relations between these countries are subject of the publication.
German-Chinese legal dictionary
With the deepening of the legal exchange between China and Germany, the need for a special dictionary focusing on legal terminology has grown stronger. The German-Chinese legal dictionary aims to fill this gap: its first edition includes over 21,000 lemmata, that consist of words and group of words, and cover different areas of law, such as legal theory, procedural law and criminal law, among others.
